Discovery en Español Doc to Spotlight Pancho Villa

MIAMI: Later this month Discovery en Español is scheduled to air El Asesinato de Villa: La Conspiración, a documentary focused on Francisco "Pancho" Villa, an infamous Mexican general who was assassinated 90 years ago.

Directed by Emilio Maillé, El Asesinato de Villa: La Conspiración chronicles the events leading up to July 20, 1923, when Pancho Villa was murdered after his car was ambushed by a group of gunmen. It will feature dramatizations as well as commentary from writer and filmmaker Guillermo Arriaga and historians Jesús Vargas Valdés, Antonio Campuzano and Dr. Jane Dale Lloyd.

Produced by Nao Films for Discovery en Español, the documentary is due to premiere on Saturday, July 20 at 8 p.m.
