Caracol TV International Unveils MIPTV Roster

BOGOTÁ: From new premieres to catalogue favorites, Colombia’s Caracol TV International has revealed some of the programming highlights it will be presenting at next month’s MIPTV.

Shows include The Dark Widow, a drama series based on the life of Griselda Blanco, who built a drug empire through violent means. That series is a production of RTI Television for Caracol TV and Televisa.

In The Sweetest Love, four generations of women fall in love with the wrong men, while The Voice of Freedom tells the story of a woman who found in music a way to express her deep desire for freedom in a society full of prejudices. CMO Producciones produced that program for Caracol TV.

The Mother in Law, a Caracol TV and Sony Pictures co-production, follows a woman living in the U.S. who is forced to reshape her life and return to her family and country after an unfortunate experience.

The Dance Floor is an original Caracol TV format where 16 dance groups led by 16 experienced singers make the audience dance to well-known choreography. In the reality show The Challenge a number of participants divided by social classes, generations, regions of the country and popularity must survive, live together and compete in four different stages for a big prize.

Finally, the documentary Buenaventura Don’t Leave Me showcases the musician Yuri Buenaventura, who was born in a Colombian port city but gained fame after moving to Paris.
