Calinos Bolsters Sales Team

Calinos Entertainment has brought in Anghelo Taylor to serve as international sales manager for LatAm, U.S. Hispanic and the Caribbean.

Taylor joined the company in June 2017, before working as an external consultant for Calinos. He is in charge of handling the whole catalog of Calinos Entertainment for films and TV series. Taylor will also be in charge of co-productions with Latin America. Taylor reports to Firat Gulgen, chairman and founder of Calinos Holdings, working under the sales division of Asli Serim Guliyev (director of sales).

Guliyev commented: “It is proven that having a sales force that can understand the cultural structures, the language and its people is a valuable asset for any company. For some territories, we have employed sales executives from those regions, for example, the case of the Turkish series Wild Heart, sold by Ismail Dursunov (deputy general manager) to Kazakhstan. It was the first Turkish series sold abroad and opened a new market for Turkish series worldwide. Anghelo Taylor is that asset; he is bringing on board a wide experience on selling stories across the creative industries, speaks more than three languages and specializes in developing innovative business models.”
