A+E Networks’ Edward Sabin Signs On for Keynote at MIP Cancun

Edward Sabin, the executive managing director for international at A+E Networks, has been lined up to deliver a keynote address at MIP Cancun in November.

Sabin will share insights from his experience managing international distribution and production businesses around the world. Sabin co-heads A+E’s international business and manages all aspects of the company’s activities in Latin America, Canada and Asia Pacific. In addition, he leads business operations and digital strategy for the group’s international channels globally.

This year, MIP Cancun will feature the inaugural Co-Production Matchmaking Market, a brand-new event meant to foster content development with the region’s leading players. The Co-Production Market will involve one-on-one meetings and a range of 30 Minutes With… sessions. Senior executives from Turner Latin America (U.S.), Sony Pictures Television/Teleset (Mexico), America TV (Peru), RCN Television (Colombia), Gloob/Gloobinho (Brazil), Televisa (Mexico), TV Azteca (Mexico), Caracol (Colombia) and Ecuavisa (Ecuador) will participate. There are currently more than 125 channels confirmed for the market.

Additionally, there will be three MIP Cancun Premiere Screenings, from BBC Worldwide America, NBCUniversal International Distribution and Globo. There will also be panels on a range of topics impacting the TV sector in the region.
