Grupo Televisa to Nominate Lionsgate’s Jon Feltheimer to Board of Directors

MEXICO CITY: Later this month, Grupo Televisa is set to nominate Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer to its board of directors.

The nomination is scheduled for April 29 and will take place during Televisa’s shareholders’ meeting. Feltheimer has held several leadership positions during his three decades in the industry, including at Lionsgate, Sony Pictures Entertainment and New World Entertainment. He has been CEO of Lionsgate since March 2000, growing the studio from an indie into a global content leader.

“Jon has achieved a strong track record of success and value creation in the entertainment field,” said Emilio Azcárraga, Televisa’s president and CEO. “As chief executive officer of Lionsgate, he has transformed that company into a leader in the film and television businesses and an industry innovator. His deep expertise, perspective and relationships will be incredibly valuable to Televisa and our shareholders.”
