Cartoon Network teamed up with Studio Moshi on the animated series Monster Beach, which has debuted in the Asia Pacific and is rolling out internationally.

The 48×11-minute series is billed as a “zany, sunny romp through beach culture” with colorful monsters sprinkled throughout. Monster Beach debuted on Cartoon Network in Australia and New Zealand on April 11. It premiered in Southeast Asia on April 25 and is scheduled for other markets around the world later in the year and into 2021.

“It has been a great experience working with Studio Moshi,” said Leslie Lee, head of Cartoon Network in Asia Pacific. “The Melbourne-based studio truly marries creativity with excellent production management. The energy and enthusiasm of every single crew member is just infectious. Everyone involved in the project is passionate about Monster Beach and goes the extra mile to make the show the best it can be.”

Studio Moshi’s supervising producer, Ariel Waymouth, said, “Monster Beach is a perfect fit for Studio Moshi, it’s a story of a group of misfits where every day is an adventure. The talented crew making this show are as obsessed about great animation as the monsters are about surfing.”
