POPS Worldwide has launched its free AVOD service, POPS App, in Thailand today, with over 2,000 episodes from shows specifically curated for kids and families.

The application boasts such international titles as the Marvel Anime series, Alien Ninano from Sony, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure from Animax and edutainment programs from ZooMoo. It also features Thai originals from POPS’s production arm and its creator network. Content from digital influencers like Bie the Ska, Tor Torpedo and Bacon Time is available via the app as well.

POPS App has built-in safety features that include password-protection and time-controlled viewing, which enables parents to design the ideal content viewing schedules for up to four individual user profiles per account.

Marissa Hanafi, head of OTT and content of POPS Worldwide, said: “We believe that quality entertainment should be readily accessible for all. Expanding POPS App in Thailand, especially during this unprecedented time, cements our dedication towards providing our kids, teen and millennial viewers a truly safe haven of free, top-tier entertainment and edutainment programs.”

Bani Tan, regional director of POPS Worldwide, said: “We are proud to expand our footprint in Thailand as we continue to redefine digital entertainment experiences across Southeast Asia by first offering families in Thailand our robust content lineup of thousands of episodes worth of shows within a brand-safe environment.”

Esther Nguyen, CEO of POPS Worldwide, added: “POPS has made remarkable strides since the application launched, exemplifying AVOD’s complementary resilience amidst a growing environment of multiple subscription services. Our recent content deals have resonated well with our regional consumers and we look forward to sharing new premium content developments later this year.”
