RTVE, Plim Plim & Krakatoa Join for Production Partnership

RTVE, Plim Plim and Krakatoa will all produce the musical series Bumpy the Bear, which will initially include 52 musical video clips produced in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

“At a time when the industry is undergoing profound transformation, bringing together the digital media expertise of Plim Plim and one of Europe’s leading children’s television channels, Clan, gives us strong confidence as we take on this digital-first challenge,” said Víctor M. López, CEO of Krakatoa.

Created by Emi Ordás and directed by Manu Borras, the series highlights the importance of giving children the space to learn, make mistakes and grow through play, supported by their families and teachers.

Krakatoa produced Bumpy the Bear in collaboration with Spiritum Entertainment, the company behind Plim Plim. RTVE acquired the broadcast rights for free TV in Spain and its international and digital channels.

Bumpy is a great opportunity to apply all the knowledge and experience we have gained through Plim Plim over the years,” said Guillermo Pino, president of Spiritum Entertainment and creator of Plim Plim. “It is also a way to continue developing content that is value-driven and deeply committed to children and families.”
