Screen Glue’s Fred and Pete’s Treasure Tales is slated to premiere in the U.K. on July 10 on CBeebies.

For children aged 4 to 7, the show follows Cornwall-based artists Fred and Pete as they hunt for treasure across the county, bringing each item they find to life with their drawings and quest to uncover their history. Suzy, who runs the Museum of Cornish Treasures, and her robot Archie offer clues to Fred and Pete to help them discover more about their finds.

The series is produced in association with Propa Job. It is Screen Glue’s first show for CBeebies.

“We are delighted to be working with the BBC Children’s team once again, this time bringing Screen Glue’s hallmark traits of fast-paced and funny factual, animation and engaging characters to the younger audiences—and their parents and caregivers—who love CBeebies,” said Jasper James, founder of Screen Glue and series executive producer. “Creating kids’ content, especially live action, is more challenging today than it has ever been. So, to be as forward-thinking as possible and always keen to maximize efficiencies, we purposely set out to create a factual format that could easily travel, with in-built returnability. Fred and Pete’s Treasure Tales is set in Cornwall, but it can readily be filmed in other parts of the UK or other countries.”
