Nick Jr. in Australia is set to premiere Ready Set Dance, a new original and locally produced preschool dance series.

Airing periodically between established Nick Jr. programming such as PAW Patrol, Blaze and the Monster Machines and Nella the Princess Knight, Ready Set Dance will debut as a daily show on Monday, January 21, at 10 a.m. Content will also be available on Nick Jr. Play, Foxtel On Demand and Fetch platforms.

Ready Set Dance was developed in collaboration with the five women behind the innovative class-based dance program for preschoolers of the same name, which has been licensed in more than 150 dance schools in Australia and New Zealand. The Nick Jr. program, designed for children ages 2 to 5, will feature fun and energetic short-form dance videos. It stars a troop of young Australian actors and dancers alongside a pair of animated hosts.

Jade Barnes, a director at Ready Set Dance, said: “Working alongside Nickelodeon, we have been able to adapt our classroom-based program to deliver a story-driven dance series that is bursting with energy and encourages kids to get up and dance at home in their living rooms.”

Ben Cox, the general manager at Nickelodeon Networks for Australia and New Zealand, added: “As a local production, Ready Set Dance is a true testament to Nickelodeon’s dedication to producing captivating and stimulating kids’ programs designed to educate, involve and excite developing and enquiring minds within our community. In line with Nick Jr.’s promise to always make learning fun, this new original show further cements why Nickelodeon remains Australia’s leading entertainment brand of kids.”
