Mondo TV Gears Up for MIPTV with MeteoHeroes

Mondo TV is bringing a raft of animated kids shows to MIPTV, including new series MeteoHeroes, an adventure-comedy.

Through the escapades of six children who transform into superheroes that control the weather, MeteoHeroes addresses climate change, ecology and respect for nature. “This combination of action, comedy, strong personalities, friendship, diversity and a focus on issues like climate change is, we feel, a winning one that will have multiterritory appeal,” says Matteo Corradi, Mondo TV’s CEO. The 52×7-minute series will launch in spring 2020.

Meanwhile, Robot Trains is back for a second season, introducing new characters and storylines for the transforming locomotives of Train World. Aimed at kids 3 to 5, the series is a co-production with South Korea’s CJ E&M.

Also on Mondo’s slate is YooHoo to the Rescue, a 3D CGI Netflix original series based on the Aurora World plush toy line. Similar to MeteoHeroes, YooHoo to the Rescue has strong environmental themes. In the series, YooHoo and his friends confront threats to nature and wildlife and meet many different endangered animal species. It will be available worldwide this month exclusively on the Netflix platform.

Heidi, Bienvenida a Casa (60×45 min.), the first season of Heidi Bienvenida, produced by Mondo TV Iberoamerica along with Alianzas Producciones, is Mondo’s first live-action show. Already on the air in Latin America, Heidi Bienvenida has a second season already in the works, Heidi Bienvenida al Show.

2D animated series Bat Pat is back for a second season, continuing to follow the comical animated adventures of Bat Pat, a talking bat, and his friends as they unravel mysteries and run into supernatural creatures along the way.

Mondo is also showcasing Sissi the Young Empress, which has two seasons already available, and a new 3D season launching in 2019 with a new format and new contents. The series airs in 40 countries and has a core audience of young girls.
