NEW YORK: The Furchester Hotel, an award-winning preschool series from Sesame Workshop and CBeebies, has begun streaming on Netflix in multiple territories.

The series is set in a hotel run by Funella Furchester, her husband Furgus Fuzz and their daughter, Phoebe. The show also features Sesame Street favorites. Phoebe’s cousin Elmo is visiting on an extended holiday, while Cookie Monster is working as a room service and dining room waiter. The family of monsters tackles any problems that arise with determination in order to keep the multicultural, multilingual, feathered and fuzzy guests happy. Netflix is streaming 26 11-minute episodes of the show.

“We are excited to have The Furchester Hotel stream on Netflix, which reaches over 93 million members around the world,” said Scott Chambers, the senior VP of North America media and licensing at Sesame Workshop. “What makes the series so much fun is the colorful cast of characters who bend over backwards, forwards and sideways, only occasionally tipping over, to be sure that the needs of every guest are met. Viewers will love having adventures with Elmo and Cookie Monster, along with their new friends Phoebe, Funella and Furgus.”
