Dr. Seuss Enterprises has unveiled its first-ever augmented reality experience for a Dr. Seuss title, Dr. Seuss’s ABC—An Amazing AR Alphabet! App.

Produced by Sugar Creative in partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises, the app is based on the best-selling book Dr. Seuss’s ABC. The first part in a series of digital educational experiences, it enables kids to interact and learn the alphabet along with Seussian characters. The app is now available on the Apple App Store and Google Play for phones and tablets.

Dr. Seuss’s ABC—An Amazing AR Alphabet! App was created with support from Unity’s MARS extension, which powers the augmented reality technology within the app. Not only does the app let kids play with animated characters such as Aunt Annie’s Alligator, David Donald Doo, Fiffer-Feffer-Feff, Little Lola Lopp, Vera Violet Vinn, Young Yolanda Yorganson, Zizzer-Zazzer-Zuzz, it also allows them to create their own AR story world.

Dr. Seuss Enterprises President Susan Brandt said: “Dr. Seuss’s ABC—An Amazing AR Alphabet! App is an exciting way to ignite young imaginations through interactive play with the creative stories and beloved characters both kids and parents love. We are thrilled to launch the app just in time to commemorate the annual Dr. Seuss’s Birthday holiday.”
