Common Sense Networks Appoints Chief Revenue Officer

Common Sense Networks has tapped former Quantcast and Time Inc. executive Meredith Long as chief revenue officer.

In the newly added role, Long will lead the company’s overall sales efforts. She will focus on developing safe and scalable solutions to help brands engage kids and families.

Long joins from Quantcast, an AI-driven audience behavior platform for the open internet. During her time there as CRO, she led all $300-million sales channels, marketing and business development for North America. Prior to that, she was senior VP and general manager of Time Inc.’s News, Luxury and Style division, where she developed growth strategies for Time Inc. brands such as TIME, Fortune, Money, InStyle, Food & Wine, Travel + Leisure and Departures.

In 2016, Long was named to the American Advertising Federation’s Hall of Achievement. She has served on the AAF’s Hall of Achievement Executive Committee, as well as president of New York Women in Communications.

Eric Berger, CEO of the for-profit arm Common Sense Media, to whom Long will report, said: “Meredith is a one-in-a-million find for Common Sense Networks and the perfect person to lead the charge as we continue to invest in and redefine the digital ecosystem for kids. In a world where privacy and kids’ media is more scrutinized than ever, we’ve innovated around a set of solutions that will unlock value for the industry. Her wealth of experience will be essential to our long-term growth, ensuring that, as a company, we meet our goals to do good and do well. I look forward to working with Meredith to identify opportunities and partnerships that propel our business forward and align with our commitment to support brands, platforms, families and the creator economy.”

Long added: “I’m thrilled to be joining forces with Eric and the CSN team to continue to build upon Common Sense Media’s 20-year legacy of trust and credibility to develop creative and dynamic solves for stakeholders and partners. Rarely do you come across a role that fulfills both your personal and professional values; this opportunity at Common Sense Networks does both. It’s a real honor to be a part of such a mission-driven organization helping drive transformation during a critical inflection point in our industry.”
