BBC Studios Kids & Family and Ludo Studio have released a Bluey Book Reads episode in which actor Diane Kruger (Troy, Inglourious Basterds, National Treasure) reads the Bluey storybook “The Creek” in German.

“The Creek” is available now on the German Bluey YouTube channel, and it will be followed by “Camping” on May 29. These episodes mark the first Bluey Book Reads content in the German language. They come as part of the series’ second season.

In “The Creek,” Bluey and her friends are bored at the park, and Mackenzie suggests a trip to the creek. Bluey is unsure, as she has never been there before.

In “Camping,” Bluey goes on a family camping trip, where she makes a new friend, Jean-Luc. Even though Bluey and Jean-Luc don’t speak the same language, they teach each other how to camp, plant trees and hunt a “wild pig.”

Bluey Book Reads season two also features a book narrated by Camille Cottin (House of Gucci) in French and a book read by Han Ga-In (Mistress) in Korean. Bluey storybooks are also read in English by Elmo and Cookie Monster (Sesame Street), Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings trilogy), Helena Bonham Carter (The Crown) and many others.

“Tucking in for the night in our house never happens without a good Bluey book,” Kruger said. “I’m thrilled I got the opportunity to read these two stories. I definitely got mom points for this one.”

Jasmine Dawson, senior VP of digital at BBC Studios, added, “Bluey fans are at the heart of everything we do. As the love for Bluey grows around the world, we’re always looking for fun, new ways to bring the Heeler magic to more families. These localized Bluey Book Reads give fans in Germany, France and Korea a chance to enjoy their favorite stories in their own language—making the Bluey universe feel even closer to home.”
