CAKE has teamed up with Toikido to develop and co-produce a long-form animated series for PeaKeeBoo, expanding the IP beyond shorts.

Inspired by the classic childhood game peekaboo, the series promotes themes of exploration, creativity and playful learning as Pea, Kee and Boo play hide-and-seek amid the sounds and visuals of Flower Meadow Wood.

Singer-songwriter Sophie Ellis-Bextor will provide her voice as the narrator for the series.

This partnership will combine Toikido’s creative brand building skills with CAKE’s storytelling and distribution expertise.

Golden Bear Toys has already been appointed as the master toy licensee for the PeaKeeBoo series. It will launch a range of textured plush, figurines and activity sets in autumn and winter of 2025.

“We are ecstatic to partner with CAKE on this exciting venture,” said Darran Garnham, CEO of Toikido. “CAKE’s track record in producing high-quality children’s content is unparalleled, and we are confident that together we will bring the magical world of PeaKeeBoo to life, captivating young audiences globally.”

Ed Galton, CEO at CAKE, added, “We are delighted to collaborate with Toikido on PeaKeeBoo. Toikido’s innovative approach to brand-building combined with our storytelling and distribution expertise promises to deliver an extraordinary series that will resonate with children and parents alike.”
