BBC Children’s has ordered two documentaries, with one about Freya Skye, the U.K.’s 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest representative, and the other on this year’s chosen act.

The program about Skye will follow her journey through the contest, where she placed fifth overall. The other half-hour documentary will center on this year’s act, who is in the process of being selected by BBC Studios Entertainment and Music and CBBC right now.

The documentary about Skye will broadcast on CBBC and BBC iPlayer this autumn, while the program about this year’s act will debut ahead of the live contest, which is taking place on November 26.

BBC, CBBC and iPlayer will be broadcasting the contest live. BBC’s coverage of the contest is being produced by BBC Studios.

“Following on from the fabulous spectacle of the Eurovision Song Contest earlier this year in Liverpool, we are so proud to once again bring Junior Eurovision to the BBC and to give children and their families the opportunity to enjoy this incredible show together,” said Patricia Hidalgo, director of BBC Children’s and Education.
