Amazon Original Kids’ Series Just Add Magic Renewed

SEATTLE: Amazon has renewed its original live-action kids’ series Just Add Magic for a second season.

The series, aimed at kids 6 to 11, is available exclusively to Prime Video members. The first season set a record as the most successful Amazon Original Kids premiere weekend in terms of U.S. Prime Video streams and hours. The show is based on Cindy Callaghan’s book of the same name, about three friends who discover a cookbook that has magic powers.

The single-camera live-action series is executive produced by Andrew Orenstein (Malcolm in the Middle) and Joe Nussbaum (George Lucas in Love, Awkward). It stars Olivia Sanabia (Extant), Abby Donnelly (Suburgatory), Aubrey Miller (Austin & Ally) and Judah Bellamy (Home).
