MUNICH: Studio 100 Media has acquired the DVD and VOD rights to Mirette Investigates and Gilbert & Allie from Cyber Group Studios for German-speaking territories, marking the first time the company is handling home entertainment for third-party properties.

Studio 100 will release Mirette Investigates on DVD and VOD in GSA territories next year. The detective comedy series is co-produced with Cyber Group Studios in France and KD Productions in Spain for TF1 and CANAL+ in France, WDR in Germany and TV3 Catalunya in Spain. Studio 100 is planning DVD and VOD releases for Gilbert & Allie in 2018. The supernatural comedy is co-produced by Cyber Group Studios and Brown Bag Films.

Patrick Elmendorff, the CEO of Studio 100 Media, commented: “Studio 100 is among the top three independent DVD labels in GSA within the ‘Kids—made for TV’ sector. It was only a matter of time for us to open our home-entertainment division to third-party series. We are delighted to start with two such convincing series from Cyber Group Studios such as Mirette Investigates and Gilbert & Allie.”

Pierre Sissmann, the chairman and CEO of Cyber Group Studios, added: “I am thrilled to work in GSA with such a renowned company as Studio 100 Media, whose expertise is a guarantee of success for our two brand-new productions.”
