Bluey Set for RTÉjr Launch

The multi-award-winning children’s series Bluey will make its free-to-air debut in Ireland on RTÉjr on October 25.

The Australian series, produced by Ludo Studio and co-commissioned by BBC Studios and ABC Children’s, follows a blue heeler dog who loves to play and turns everyday family life into adventures that unfold in unpredictable and hilarious ways. In Ireland, the series will be available via RTÉ Player in addition to airing on RTÉjr.

Bluey was first launched in Australia in 2018. It was the number one children’s program on broadcast television in 2020 in Australia, the most-viewed show on the U.K.’s CBeebies in August and the number one most-watched TV series with kids ages 2 to 5 across Disney Junior and Disney Channel in the U.S. during the second quarter of 2021. In 2020, it won the International Emmy Kids Award in the Preschool category.
