M6 Group’s Philippe Bony Boards TV Kids Summer Festival

Philippe Bony, the head of thematic and youth channels at M6, has joined the roster for the TV Kids Summer Festival.

The TV Kids Summer Festival, which is being held from June 7 to 10, will explore the challenges and opportunities facing the children’s content community today. The event, which is free to attend, will be streamed live and available on-demand on TVKidsFestival.com. (Missed our winter edition? Catch up on all the sessions here.)

Bony is head of M6 Group’s thematic TV channels division, including Paris Première, Téva, M6 Music, MCM and FRM TV, as well as the youth TV channels Gulli, Canal J and TiJi in France, TiJi and Gulli Girl in Russia, Gulli Bil Arabia and Gulli Africa.

During his keynote, Bony will discuss M6’s portfolio of channels for children and families, the importance of strong brands in a crowded market, commissioning French content, the role of programs acquired from other countries, reaching young viewers on different platforms and screens, the rollout of GulliMax, serving viewers during Covid-19 and plans for the coming 12 to 24 months.

Bony joins a roster of TV Kids Summer Festival speakers that already includes Cookie Monster, Sesame Workshop’s Ed Wells, 9 Story’s Vince Commisso, Aardman’s Sean Clarke, Total Drama Island creators Tom McGillis and Jennifer Pertsch and CAKE’s Ed Galton.
