Cheeky Little Media has unveiled Cheeky Little Commercial, a new arm of the business to manage all licensing and merchandising activity for its brands.
The launch of Cheeky Little Commercial comes on the heels of the successful debut in Australia of Cheeky Little Media’s new preschool show Kangaroo Beach. Kangaroo Beach has confirmed deals with Headstart for master toy, Pan MacMillan for publishing, Designworks for softlines across apparel, footwear, accessories and homewares and Zoggs for swimming aids.
David Taylor, Cheeky’s commercial director, will be at the helm of Cheeky Little Commercial. He has been managing the production company’s brands for the last two years and will now also represent some third-party brands to balance the commercial slate.
In addition to Kangaroo Beach, Cheeky Little Commercial is representing the Australian property Beached Az, as well as working with other Cheeky Little Media brands such as Kazoops, Spongo, Fuzz & Jalapena and Bottersnikes & Gumbles.
Taylor said: “Being the director of Cheeky Little Commercial is like being a kid in a candy store for me, we’ve got such wonderful brands to work with and Kangaroo Beach has made an incredible start. With industry leading partners signed for all key categories the next 12 months is going to be really exciting, the future looks very bright.”
