Nicole Keeb, the head of international co-productions and acquisitions for children and youth at ZDF, will be honored for her contributions to the children’s programming industry with a TV Kids Pioneer Award, presented as part of the TV Kids Summer Festival.

The TV Kids Summer Festival, which is being held from June 7 to 10, will explore the challenges and opportunities facing the children’s content community today. The event, which is free to attend, will be streamed live and available on-demand on TVKidsFestival.com. (Missed our winter edition? Catch up on all the sessions here.)

Keeb has spent more than two decades at ZDF and has been a driving force in bringing innovative live-action and animated concepts to German kids. During her keynote conversation, Keeb will discuss the vital role kids’ programming plays on ZDF; the mix of original, acquired and co-produced series on the German public broadcaster; her current content wish list and more.

KiKA’s Sebastian Debertin was the recipient of the inaugural TV Kids Pioneer Award at the TV Kids Festival in February. You can watch that session here.

Keeb is the latest addition to the TV Kids Summer Festival, which already counts among its speakers M6’s Philippe Bony, Cookie Monster, Sesame Workshop’s Ed Wells, 9 Story’s Vince Commisso, Aardman’s Sean Clarke, Total Drama Island creators Tom McGillis and Jennifer Pertsch and CAKE’s Ed Galton.
