Serious Lunch has picked up the distribution rights to Welcome to Earth (Prochain Arrêt), a CGI/live-action series produced by Zeilt Productions for RTL Luxembourg.

The comedy for kids aged 6 to 9 follows two ankle-high aliens, Mish and Klaus, who are sent to Earth by Major Alpha to find an HQ ahead of her planned invasion. Erza, Klaus’ sister, has the same mission, with the sibling rivalry heightened by Klaus’ nemesis—a Plutonian named Kurt.

The first season of Welcome to Earth is created by Laurent Witz; directed by Sarah Sutter and Frédéric Wedeux; and written by Cyril Bossmann, Hervé Benedetti, Nicolas Robin, Max Mamoud, George Tzanos, Fanny Meeschaert, Diane Morel, Bruno Regeste and Chérif Saïs.

Genevieve Dexter, CEO of Serious Lunch, said: “The style and humor of Welcome to Earth immediately stole our hearts and we are adapting the series into English for presentation in the run-up to Kidscreen. The French version is already complete and ready to view.”

Laurent Witz, CEO of Zeilt Productions, said: “We wanted to see Earth’s history and culture from the POV of these crazy little characters. Mish wants to hug culture and Klaus just wants to blow it up, but definitely before anyone else does.”
