9 Story Distribution International has snapped up the global distribution rights for the new stop-motion series The Diary of Bita & Cora from Spain’s TV ON Producciones.

The Diary of Bita & Cora follows two friends as they explore the universe in a spaceship and discover a new planet named Pruna. The show is meant for young viewers between the ages of 4 and 6. It is produced by Paloma Mora (Brava) and directed by Vicente Mallols Tomás (The Cryptozoologist).

“We are thrilled to be partnering with TV ON Producciones on The Diary of Bita & Cora,” said Alix Wiseman, the VP of acquisitions and business development for 9 Story Distribution International. “It is rare to find a stop-motion series of this caliber and it complements our catalog perfectly. We think it has tremendous potential for global audiences who will delight in the warm and compelling stories of friendship and discovery.”

“It was a pleasure to meet Alix Wiseman at Annecy last year, when we were just starting to work on The Diary of Bita & Cora,” added Mora. “It’s a delight to partner with a distribution company as reputable as 9 Story Distribution International. At TV ON Producciones we are producing this series with so much love, always with the audience in mind. It is our hope that kids around the world will watch it and learn something special from each adventure.”
