Superights has inked a deal with CJ E&M to launch three preschool series in South Korea this year, including Helen’s Little School and Emmy & Gooroo.

In addition to Helen’s Little School and Emmy & Gooroo, Bo Bear will roll out on the new pay-TV channel English Gem, which focuses on English learning. The agreement marks the first international sale for Bo Bear, which is also the first live-action series for Superights.

Helen’s Little School, produced by Superprod and Muse Entertainment, launched last fall on France 5; Télé-Québec, TFO and Knowledge Network in Canada, Minimax in Poland; and Discovery’s DKids in Latin America. Emmy & Gooroo is produced by Left Pocket and Tomavision and has been acquired by YLE in Finland, Paka Paka in Argentina and Studio 100 in MENA.

“We are excited to have such beautiful programs from Superights on our lineup of the new kids’ channel, English Gem,” commented Diana Kim, the general manager of premium TV content at CJ E&M.

“I am thrilled of this first collaboration with CJ E&M; no doubt it will be a great home for our little heroes,” said Safaa Benazzouz, sales manager for Asia at Superights.
