Seven Network is set to reboot This Is Your Life in Australia after 11 years off the air.

The series celebrates iconic Australians one at a time, offering personal insights, emotional reunions and never-before-seen footage from their closest colleagues, friends and families. The reboot will be produced by ITV Studios Australia.

This Is Your Life originally debuted in Australia on Seven in 1975 and became one of the most popular shows over its six-year run. The program then ran on Nine Network on and off from 1995 to 2011.

The reboot is slated to debut on Seven Network and 7plus later this year. The format is distributed by All3Media International.

This Is Your Life was an iconic and incredibly successful show for many years,” said Angus Ross, director of network programming at Seven. “The time feels right for it to return. We can’t wait to bring the format into 2022, engaging both new viewers and the generations of Australians who remember the show fondly and will welcome its return.”

David Mott, CEO and managing director of ITV Studios Australia, said, “We are honored to be producing the return of this nostalgic and warm-hearted format that is so well known to Australian television. It will be a true celebration, along with a few surprises, of our iconic Australians and much-loved personalities where everyone can come together to enjoy these special event nights on Channel Seven. There has never been a better time to highlight great Australians than right now.”

“The appeal of This Is Your Life is timeless, and we’re delighted to now represent the Ralph Edwards Production show,” added Sabrina Duguet, executive VP of AsiaPac for Al3lMedia International. “The series has focused on the famous and everyday extraordinary people throughout its incarnation, in a refreshingly simple, honest manner to celebrate life and the positive impact lives have on each other. We are thrilled that Seven and ITV Studios Australia will be bringing the show to Australian audience this year.”
