The Inheritance Lands First International Adaptation

All3Media International has scored the first international adaptation of the new Studio Lambert format The Inheritance, with Globo commissioning a Brazilian version from Formata.

“Globo’s track record for delivering must-watch reality television makes them the ideal partner to bring this bold, distinctive format to screen in Brazil,” said Yari Torres, VP of LatAm and Hispanic U.S. at All3Media International. “The Inheritance is a premium, high-drama reality series—addictive, insightful and relentlessly entertaining. It immerses audiences in a world driven by entitlement, trust, greed, fairness and persuasion, with the ability to attract A-list talent, and this new version promises to captivate audiences across this market.”

“Reality shows are one of Globoplay’s key strengths, and we strongly believe in the potential of this format to create connection and engage Brazilian audiences in this competition,” commented Tatiana Costa, head of Globoplay and pay TV at Globo. “The local adaptation brings our specialized Brazilian perspective to the format. It is another investment aimed at bringing a major hit to our reality catalog.”

Tim Harcourt, chief creative officer at Studio Lambert, added, “We are thrilled that Globo and Formata are making a version of Studio Lambert’s competitive reality format. The Inheritance’s themes of strategy, alliance and the perception of what is fair in today’s world are universal. We are excited that Brazilian audiences will get to savor the drama of it all.”
