Prime Video Slates Mission Unknown Season Two

Banijay Entertainment’s adventure reality format Mission Unknown has been confirmed for a second season by Prime Video.

“With Mission Unknown, we deliberately set out to do something different,” said Arno Schneppenheim, managing director at Banijay Productions Germany. “A second season shows that audiences respond to bold, ambitious storytelling. And we’re grateful for the continued trust of Prime Video, which allows us to keep developing the format in ways that challenge both the talent and ourselves creatively.”

Social media creator Jens Knossalla, aka Knossi, and nine creator friends embark on new secret locations. The new season will also air on Knossi’s YouTube channel two weeks after launching on Prime Video.

Mission Unknown is a standout format and one we will be profiling at Banijay Entertainment’s upcoming London TV Screenings showcase,” added Lucas Green, chief content officer of Operations at Banijay Entertainment. “The show embodies how we are partnering with top digital‑native talent and finding new ways to bring our worlds together, resulting in an ambitious format, with high production values and storytelling that truly cuts through with audiences.”
