Fear Factor Returning to Danish Television

Metronome, part of Banijay Nordic, is reviving Fear Factor for the Danish market after two decades.

“Bringing Fear Factor back after 23 years is a huge milestone for Metronome and is testament to our thriving creative team,” said Tina Christensen, managing director of Metronome. “Reimagined for a new generation of viewers, packed with shareable moments, stunning visuals and unique comedic elements, this comeback blends the adrenaline of the classic challenges with a distinctly Danish sense of humor. It’s a landmark moment that underscores Metronome’s ambition to deliver premium entertainment content.”

The first Danish edition since 2002, the new version of Fear Factor will be hosted by comedian Ruben Søltoft.

Fear Factor is one of Banijay Entertainment’s lasting formats, and its comeback demonstrates the continued appetite for action-packed entertainment,” noted Lucas Green, chief creative officer of operations at Banijay Entertainment. “With Denmark reigniting the format after more than two decades, and the U.S. launching a daring new series, we’re expecting further momentum internationally. Both versions prove an excellent talent vehicle, with Johnny Knoxville and Ruben Søltoft bringing their unique blend of humor and personality to engage audiences.”
