Through the Keyhole, a comedy game-show format, is being relaunched to the international market by Newen Connect.

The comedy game-show format investigates the glamorous homes of the rich and famous, asking a panel of well-known faces to guess the identity of the owner from a series of visual clues, repeating the iconic line: “Who lives in a house like this?”

In total, there have been some 24 series of the show. Through the Keyhole found its original home on ITV, where it began as a segment on the network’s TV-am breakfast show.

Andrew Sime, head of format sales for Newen Connect, said: “Through the Keyhole is an iconic show that has graced TV screens in the U.K. across most major networks and in a variety of slots over the last 40 years, proving it has broad appeal, versatility and longevity. Given the current trend for bringing back established and trusted formats, we think the time is right to reintroduce Through the Keyhole for an international audience, and Newen Connect is thrilled that we can continue to build on the legacy of one of the best-known shows on British television.”

Kevin Sim, the show’s first producer, commented: “‘Absolutely unmissable!’ That was Through the Keyhole‘s very first review 40 years ago. It’s been part of the national furniture ever since. A real treasure. I’m really proud to see it being launched again today.”
