Dancing with the Stars, Just the Two of Us Land Greek Commissions

BBC Studios has landed a duo of format deals in Greece, including one that sees Star TV becoming the new home for Dancing with the Stars.

Star TV licensed two seasons, the seventh and eighth in the market. The first of those will air on the channel this fall.

Just the Two of Us, a competition format that pairs up internationally recognized singers with famous faces to perform live duets, will air this spring on the free-to-air channel Open Beyond. The 14 two-hour episodes will be produced by Koklonis Media.

Andre Renaud, senior VP of global format sales for BBC Studios, said: “High-quality and returnable entertainment formats are in high demand in Greece as broadcasters compete for audiences. Greek broadcasters are increasingly looking to BBC Studios and our raft of entertaining formats to meet their demand for compelling and high-impact shows that have proven to deliver audiences in a highly competitive marketplace.”
