Channel 5 Commissions Undercover Girlfriends

Channel 5 has commissioned Twofour to produce Undercover Girlfriends, which follows five women who go undercover in an effort to discover whether their man is really the one.

For one week, their boyfriends will be whisked away on a VIP trip to Marbella, Spain, where they think they’re making a TV show about lads on holiday. What they don’t know is that their girlfriends are in the villa right next door watching their every move. The series will be stripped across five days on Channel 5.

Melanie Leach, chief executive of the Twofour Group, said: “Warm, surprising, comical and sometimes shocking, Undercover Girlfriends is a unique relationship test. Who wouldn’t want to see what their other half gets up to when they’re not around?”

Sebastian Cardwell, commissioning executive for Channel 5, said: “This innovative new series offers girlfriends the opportunity to find out the truth about the men they are dating and if they are with ‘the one.’”
