ITVS GE Creates COO Post

LONDON: Duncan Walker has been tapped to fill the newly created post of COO at ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE) and Rest of the World (ROW), reporting to managing director Maria Kyriacou.

Walker, director of finance and operations, has a remit that covers those areas as well as business development, HR, marketing and legal and business affairs. He has spent the last six months in New York overseeing the integration of Leftfield into the ITV fold. He has been with ITVS GE for the last four years, following stints at several ITV companies, including Carlton, Granada and United Broadcasting.

"With more and more synergies between GE and ROW, it is the right time to appoint a visionary COO who can maximize the businesses’ potential," Kyriacou said. "Duncan is a brilliant strategic operator with an impeccable track record.  His in-depth knowledge and peerless leadership skills make him the perfect choice to spearhead our next exciting phase of growth."
