Amazon Fire TV Hosting Channel 5’s Catch-Up Service

LONDON: The U.K.’s Channel 5 is set to release its TV Everywhere platform Demand 5 on Amazon Fire TV, making the service available on a wide range of mobile and TV devices.

Demand 5 lets viewers watch programs broadcast on Channel 5, 5USA and 5* instantly, wherever and whenever they want, through mobile phones, tablets, games consoles, smart TVs and set-top boxes. Available content will include Celebrity Big Brother, The Dog Rescuers with Alan Davies, Neighbours and The Gadget Show, plus Milkshake!, Channel 5’s strand for preschoolers. Viewers can also catch up on the second season of the popular U.S. drama Falling Skies, plus a selection of films and an archive of classic shows.

The launch of Amazon Fire TV means the service will be available across a selection of Amazon devices, including Fire HDX tablets and the recently launched Fire Phone.
