Chello Central Europe Buys Power Content

LONDON: Power has sold 200 hours of TV movies, series and mini-series to Chello Central Europe.

The multiplatform, multi-territory agreement includes basic cable, SVOD and TVOD rights for Chello Central Europe’s Film Mania and Film Café channels in Hungary and Film Café in Romania.

Steve Turney, Power’s VP of sales and acquisitions, remarked: "We are immensely happy to have concluded this deal. Chello Central Europe is an ideal business partner as their portfolio of channels demands the kind of diversity, escapism and quality of programming that Power specializes in."

Katalin Radóczy, the chief programming officer for Chello Central Europe, added: "This agreement with Power is an important step forward for Chello Central Europe to provide viewers with high-end exclusive content on the film portfolio channels in Hungary and Romania, and towards non-linear viewing, facilitating the endeavors of TV Everywhere in the interests of serving the needs of the viewers comprehensively."
