De Mensen Lands Co-Pro Deals with VRT & NPO

Belgian production company De Mensen is partnering with pubcasters VRT in Belgium and NPO in the Netherlands to co-produce at least five titles over the next three years.

De Mensen has seen a wave of success with scripted and non-scripted content made with TV host and actor Tom Waes, including Difficult Destinations, The Story of Flanders and Undercover. It produces Belgium’s longest-running daily quiz show (Blockx) as well as scripted hits like Professor T and Hotel Beau Séjour. Other recent hits include Sophie Cross in France and Netflix’s Ferry: The Series.

Looking ahead, De Mensen’s management aims to focus more on international productions across drama, entertainment and documentaries.
