Gilles Pélisson has been tapped as the new president of Unifrance, succeeding Serge Toubiana.

Toubiana is stepping down as president of Unifrance after three successive terms. Hervé Michel, VP of Unifrance since 2021 and previously president of TV France International, is also stepping down from his post.

“Together with their teams, they have supported the new, unified Unifrance in a post-Covid context, in order to promote the full diversity of French creative work on the international stage,” Unifrance said in a statement.

Pélisson has held senior leadership roles at Disney in Europe, Bouygues Telecom, Accor Group and Accenture. He joined TF1 in 2009, serving as president and CEO from 2016 to February of this year.

Unifrance’s 60-member steering committee selected Pélisson to lead the organization after considering several other candidates: Frédérique Bredin, Anne Durupty and Marie Masmonteil.
