Nevision Promotes Anne Morrison to CEO

Independent producer Nevision has promoted senior media executive Anne Morrison to CEO and creative director.

Morrison will also continue in her role as creative director of factual programs. Her overall remit will be to focus on the future growth and strategic expansion of the company, working with established and up-and-coming global talent.

Morrison will work with Nigel Pickard, Nevision’s creative director of kids and family, and Neil Zeiger, creative director of scripted, on the company’s active development slate. She will also work closely with Nevision’s U.S. operation, as well as sister company Nevis Productions, based in Copenhagen and Stockholm.

As creative director of factual, Morrison will continue to build on Nevision’s roster of shows, including the BAFTA- and RTS Award-winning The Missing Children.

Prior to joining Nevision, Morrison rose within BBC Television to run factual program departments for over 20 years. She founded the BBC Academy and led the growth of network television programs in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Upon leaving the BBC, she became chair of BAFTA, the second woman to be elected to the position in its history.

“Since joining Nevision three years ago, I have seen the company flourish as a producer,” Morrison said. “We now have an impactful slate of well-crafted, character-driven stories across factual, factual entertainment, scripted and kids and family, and I look forward to making content in partnership with leading broadcasters and platforms globally. With our outreach now expanded to the U.S. with Nevision Inc. and our sister company Nevis Productions in Scandinavia, we are well positioned to tell stories that resonate with viewers both in the U.K. and internationally.”

James Cabourne, executive chairman of Nevision, added, “Anne’s track record speaks for itself—as both a broadcaster and producer, she has a reputation for seeking out and creating the highest quality award-winning programming. We are genuinely excited to have someone of her caliber help steer the company through its next stage of growth.”
