Cardiff Productions has bolstered its creative team with the appointment of Becky Nunn as its first executive producer.

Nunn, previously series producer for the company, has over 20 years of production experience. She was instrumental in the success of Cardiff Productions’ BBC format Take a Hike, which she helped develop from its S4C sister series Am Dro!

Prior to joining Cardiff, she worked with a range of companies including Plimsoll Productions, Spun Gold West, Icon and Richocet, where she worked on programs such as Supernanny, Cowboy Builders and Food Unwrapped.

Cardiff Productions launched in 2020 and has secured commissions and development from U.K. broadcasters Channel 4, BBC Two, S4C and BBC Wales, as well as BET and National Geographic internationally. It is currently in production with Tan France’s first British Show, Beauty and the Bleach, for BBC Two; Remarkable Rivers with Richard Hammond for Channel 4; and We are Black and British for BBC Two.

“We’ve been bowled over with the huge interest in our ideas,” said Narinder Minhas, managing director of Cardiff Productions, to whom Nunn will report. “The company’s rapid growth is prompting us to strengthen our senior creative team to ensure we fulfill our creative ambitions and continue this trajectory. Becky is creative, tenacious, fast-thinking and passionate about storytelling. She is also an inspirational team leader. Her wealth of experience of delivering innovative and high-quality TV, both for peak and daytime, speaks for itself. We are delighted to have her as part of the next step in our journey.”

Nunn added, “The rapid rise of Cardiff Productions as one of the most exciting production companies in the indie sector has been a privilege to be a part of. I am thrilled to be able to continue to work on its impressive slate of programming and help forge the next raft of productions from this newly-created role of executive producer.”
