WarnerMedia France has promoted Stéphane Quéneudec to head of local theatrical production.

Quéneudec, who has been with the company since 2007, will manage and develop the company’s local film production for release in cinemas and on HBO Max. He takes on the role at a busy time, with five French films set for release in 2022, including Simone, Le voyage du siècle.

Most recently, Quéneudec was the VP of TV and SVOD sales. He also gained a wealth of experience managing content prior to joining WarnerMedia France through Warner Bros. and STUDIOCANAL.

In his new role, Quéneudec will report to Pierre Branco, country manager of France, Benelux and MENA, and will work closely with Olivier Snanoudj, senior VP of theatrical distribution, and Grégory Schuber, senior VP of marketing, data and innovation.

Quéneudec will be supported by a strengthened development team, with Jordi Coleno appointed senior manager of local production and Josselin Grandsire named senior local production analyst. Bruno Perez, executive director of local production marketing, will continue to be responsible for local film marketing, joined by Julie Girardot as senior product and strategy manager.

Branco said: “We have great ambitions to further accelerate French film production and look forward to doing so under Stéphane’s leadership.”

Quéneudec added: “WarnerMedia and French cinema share a long history together, and I’m excited to develop this next chapter. Our ambition is to increase the number of French films that we are producing, and we look forward to continuing to work with the best creative talent in the business.”
