BBC Studios has appointed Arran Tindall as senior VP of key markets for the EMEA region.

In his new role, Tindall is responsible for revenue and profit across Africa, Benelux, the Nordics, Poland and CEE. He also leads commercial strategy and delivery of best-value and commercial returns of BBC-branded services.

Tindall previously spent 20 years at ViacomCBS, where he was most recently chief commercial officer for the U.K. In that role, he was responsible for distribution, content sales, advertising and digital across Viacom and Channel 5. Prior to that role, Tindall spent eight years as senior VP of commercial and content distribution. He led business development and channel, product and content distribution in EMEA, Asia Pacific and Latin America.

Nick Percy, executive VP for EMEA, to whom Tindall will report, said: “This is a vital role for the EMEA business as we look to maximize value from our branded services and grow our major customer relationships in the region across all our lines of business. I have no doubt that Arran’s experience and insights into the EMEA market will enable us to unlock new business opportunities and achieve our growth ambitions.”

Tindall said: “I’m thrilled to be joining BBC Studios at such an exciting time for the content and distribution ecosystem. It’s inspiring to be part of the distinctive, bold and British content of BBC Studios, and I look forward to working with Nick and the whole team as we engage with our valued partners across EMEA to build successful futures together.”
