Mercury Studios Taps Steve Condie as SVP of Content

Universal Music Group’s Mercury Studios has appointed Steve Condie as senior VP of content.

Condie, who will be based in London, will lead on creative vision, working with producers, writers and directors on premium music-led storytelling. He will be joined by Frank MacDonald, who has been appointed as Mercury Studios’ head of development, overseeing the development of nonfiction titles.

Condie’s credits include the online, TV and radio format People’s History of Pop, the dance music series Can You Feel It and social history The Story of Skinhead. Condie was recently responsible for the documentary Thatcher—A Very British Revolution with BBC Studios and is currently completing the follow-up series exploring the New Labour government of Tony Blair.
