After more than 30 years with TV 2 Denmark, Anette Romer is exiting her role as head of acquisitions and formats this summer.

Romer will continue to head the department over the coming months while working together with Head of TV 2 PLAY and TV 2 ZULU’s Sune Roland, who will assume responsibility for the department, to ensure a smooth transition for her team (who will all continue in their respective roles and responsibilities) and their international partners. Romer officially exits the broadcaster on June 30, 2020.

Romer said: “Over the past decade, I’ve been lucky to manage one of the best and most respected acquisitions teams in the industry. I could not be happier with the solution that has been found with Sune Roland helming the team. With the highly increased focus on TV 2 PLAY and the strategic emphasis on strengthening our relationship with young viewers it makes a lot of sense gathering PLAY, ZULU and Acquisitions into one entity.

“It’s been both an honor and a privilege to be part of TV 2’s Denmark journey from the very beginning, and leaving the broadcaster in such a strong position fills me with immense pride and respect for all my colleagues.

“The industry has transformed drastically over the past three decades and keeping ahead of the changing technology, viewing habits and trends has been a daily challenge and something I will continue to follow closely.”

Roland, head of TV 2 PLAY and TV 2 ZULU, added: “With her 30-plus years with TV 2, Anette’s imprint and contribution to all of TV 2’s channels is undeniable and noteworthy. Her long and outstanding contribution was recently crowned with the Otto Award, an honorary award of the highest recognition from the Danish television Industry. The respect Anette enjoys on both an international and domestic level is unparalleled.”
