Green Inc., a Northern Irish indie, has launched a new office in the Republic of Ireland, enabling the company to operate both in the European Union and the U.K.

Based in Dublin, Green Inc. Republic of Ireland will act as a subsidiary business to Green’s main Belfast operation, serving as a regular operational base for domestic Republic of Ireland commissions from broadcasters including RTÉ, Virgin Television Ireland and TG4. The launch of Green Inc. Republic of Ireland comes on the back of Green Inc.’s recent RTÉ One commission High Road Low Road (working title), a new format that will see different pairs of celebrity friends or colleagues embark on a holiday destination or city break where each traveler will get to enjoy a very different vacation experience.

Green Inc. was also recently commissioned by BBC Northern Ireland to produce new original format Tricked Out Tractors. Also on the company’s slate are Ireland’s Got Talent, a co-production with Kite Entertainment for Virgin Television Ireland; the BBC2 blue-chip series The Many Faces of…; and the live RTÉ series Crimecall, co-produced with Rare TV.

Stephen Stewart, managing director of Green Inc., said: “Brexit is still a work in progress and no one knows how it will end. The launch of Green Inc. Republic of Ireland future-proofs us to continue what we’ve been successfully doing for over 20 years with our friends in the south, and beyond.”
