New Regency Opens U.K. Hub

New Regency has opened a European office, based in the U.K., tapping Charlotte Thorp as senior VP and head of international sales as part of the company’s strategic growth plans.

In her new role, Thorp will be charged with driving the international sales of New Regency’s library of over 140 films as well as overseeing the international TV sales of upcoming New Regency product. Thorp joins New Regency from Lionsgate, where she oversaw the company’s activities in the EMEA region for linear, SVOD and AVOD sales, as well as created new relationships and built business opportunities in the region.

New Regency recently reorganized the international TV sales of its film library in-house. The company’s library includes the Academy Award winners Birdman and 12 Years A Slave, as well as blockbusters such as The Revenant, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Heat, Fight Club and LA Confidential.

“The opening of our U.K. office actively aligns with our growth plans for New Regency internationally,” said Yariv Milchan, chairman of New Regency, to whom Thorp will report.
