Newen Appoints STUDIOCANAL Alum as Managing Director

Newen Group has named former STUDIOCANAL executive Romain Bessi as its new managing director.

In his new role, Bessi will oversee international activities, distribution, animation, and legal and financial matters. Bibiane Godfroid, the CEO of Newen Group, also organized the executive board to consist of Bessi; Guillaume de Menthon, Telfrance’s CEO; and Guillaume Thouret, Capa’s managing director. Anna Pugacewicz is in charge of administrative and financial matters, while Jérôme Pédron will handle legal and business matters, and Gabrielle Badoy will manage human resources.

Godfroid stated, “I am pleased to become the CEO of this great production and distribution company, with a wide range of talents and skills. Together, we will continue our development in France and expand further internationally.”
