British Writers Laurence Marks & Maurice Gran Sign with Chrysalis

Chrysalis Vision has inked an exclusive first-look deal with British writers Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, whose credits include Birds of a Feather.

The partnership reunites the duo with Chrysalis CEO Mick Pilsworth, who worked with them during the early 1990s when he was managing director of their TV production business, Alomo Productions.

Chris Wright, chairman of Chrysalis Vision, said: “I am delighted that we have managed to attract two of the most successful British television writers to work exclusively with us, and I look forward to working with them on a number of projects.”

Pilsworth commented: “Marks and Gran have an outstanding record of achievement in British television. They have created over 20 successful long-running series, including Birds of a Feather, which is still on the air 30 years after it first aired; other acclaimed series including Goodnight Sweetheart and The New Statesman. Together we will be developing a number of new television dramas and comedies.”

Marks and Gran added: “We are delighted to be working with Mick Pilsworth once again, and also with Chris Wright, whose success in music and television is legendary.”
