Monica Galer is stepping down as president of FremantleMedia France and will be replaced by Bruno Fallot, currently the executive producer of France’s Got Talent.

Galer joined FremantleMedia in 2002, establishing Blue Circle, FremantleMedia’s Dutch operation. Galer went on to become CEO of Northern and Southern Europe at the company, before becoming president of the French business in September 2011.

Fallot assumes his new role on March 1. He has been the producer of France’s Got Talent since 2016. From 2014 to 2016, Fallot was director of programs at the TV channels NRJ12 and CHERIE25. Before that, he was at FremantleMedia France, where he produced such shows as Total Blackout, Take Me Out, The X Factor (as associate producer) and, internationally, Arab Idol.

Cécile Frot-Coutaz, FremantleMedia Group’s CEO, said: “Monica is a doyenne of the European format and production industry and, while I respect her decision to stand down after a number of years at the helm, I will miss her. I am delighted that Bruno Fallot has agreed to take over the reins. He has been a highly valued and respected member of the global Fremantle family for a number of years now, and I know his passion and flair will deliver significant creative and commercial success in this hugely important market.”

Galer added: “I’ve loved working with the French team and with colleagues across Fremantle on creating and producing some of the country’s most popular entertainment. FremantleMedia will always have a special place in my heart, and I wish Cécile, Bruno and the whole team great success in the future.”

Fallot commented: “I would like to thank Cécile for this wonderful opportunity and to pay tribute to Monica for her leadership. I approach this role very much as a program-maker and producer, and I can’t wait to work with people right across the creative community to make FremantleMedia France one of the most ambitious, exciting and dynamic places to work.”
