Nicolas Eglau Steps Down at A+E Networks UK

LONDON: Nicolas Eglau is resigning as chief operating officer and general manager for the Nordics, Benelux and CEEMA at A+E Networks UK in order to pursue new opportunities.

Eglau will serve as an advisor to A+E Networks UK’s leadership team until August 31 to assist with the transition. During his time with the company, he has overseen operational and commercial units in the U.K. and other territories. He also managed offices in Copenhagen, Warsaw, Amsterdam and Johannesburg.

Prior to joining A+E Networks UK, Eglau worked at RTL Netherlands for five years as a member of the executive board and managing director of ventures. Earlier in his career, he was VP for CEE at RTL Group in Luxembourg. Before that, he held a corporate development role at Kirch Holding in Munich.

Dean Possenniskie, the managing director of A+E Networks in EMEA, said: “Nicolas has played a formative role in further driving growth of A+E Networks UK since 2015. He has been pivotal in developing and executing a successful long-term strategy for the company with the strong teams he recruited and developed. Under his leadership, our presence across the company’s international markets has grown significantly. I am pleased that Nicolas will continue to support the company in an advisory capacity through to the summer.”
